THE PRESIDENT’S END OF YEAR ADDRESS TO THE NATION, (31 December 2022)

People of the Southern Cameroons/Ambazonia,

Dear Ambazonians,

Happy New year 2023.

In a couple of hours, 2022 will come to a close. We are here to take stock of our liberation movement in all its dimensions. Without a doubt 2022 has been a tumultuous year despite our strides. The genocidal war declared on our people by dictator Paul Biya and his colonial regime is still raging on. The number of deaths keeps rising in their thousands. The scorched-earth policy resulting in the burning of our villages and settlements is still being executed. The number of refugees and IDPs is steadily rising. We are more at war today than we were 4 years ago. The momentous gains that we achieved in terms of self-defense, were dampened by unprecedented internal wranglings orchestrated by individuals who were claiming to be with us, but switched to work for the enemy. It has been a year of survival, or should I say a year of triumph over the deadliest enemies of our freedom – the enemies who look and talk like us. We survived an avalanche of their attacks. The survival of our quest was put to test on every side: financial, structural, diplomacy, and our ground game.

Our struggle was almost destroyed in 2022, by a crop of anti-revolutionary actors, who did not mind the consequences of their actions on our revolution. They pulled our march to a halt from the last quarter of 2021 – in the middle of the most successful year recorded in the history of our resistance. They told you that our progress notwithstanding, my leadership was bad. They stole our IG official websites and intellectual properties, embezzled your money, and proclaimed that I was impeached and removed from office. Yet, looking back today we can see that all they achieved if at all in 12 months, are pathetic imitations of everything they said I was doing wrong, and their hard work to reverse our gains. The ring leaders were on a Fire Extinguisher mission. I sympathize with some good comrades who followed them blindly. Fortunately, you the brave passengers on this flight to Buea are no longer dummies to be taken for a ride. You rejected their crazy moves and together we saved our flight from doom.

Thanks to your resilience and revolutionary IQ we rose in Washington, DC at the ASSC II to restore our revolution. We diagnosed the problem, recalibrated, purged and redeemed our struggle. Thank you Ambazonians for not abandoning the struggle, for refusing to surrender in the face of a painful challenge. Looking back today I make bold to say that, like gold tried through fire, the leadership of our movement has been tested, made finer, purer, and distinct today than ever. Yes, the price so far has been heavy, the sacrifice has been enormous, exacerbated by those among us today who, refuse to reason even after they realized they acted on lies without evidence.

Notwithstanding, Our Restoration Forces, the ARFs have been up to the task, putting their lives on the frontlines as they defend our vulnerable population and prevent LRC military thugs, from continuously executing their annihilation agenda. These are the true heroes and heroines of our Restoration Quest who, are paying the price of the mistakes of our fathers and our stupidity today. We salute their bravery, as we honor those who have paid the ultimate price with their blood, including the numerous innocent civilians who have been massacred for just being who they are - Ambazonians.

(a moment of silence. please)...

May they continue to Rest in Power!

Dear Compatriots,

Do you remember where our temperature was in 2021 before we were brutally interrupted by recent disruptions? Our revolutionary machine was firing on all cylinders. LRC enemy soldiers were writing their wills and bidding farewells to their families when deployed to our territory. The rate of defection from their ranks was alarming. LRC civilians and political pundits were urging their colonial government to find an end to this senseless conflict. Our valiant ARFs were taming the ill-trained Beti-Bulu genocidal scouts.

Your financial support through the Draft was facilitating our NSSC. We were steadily

beefing up the capabilities of our self-defense forces as they embarked on military innovations that rattled the surging genocidaires. The Swiss Led Talks, largely endorsed by every major world power, stood as the only way out for the colonial regime of Yaoundé which was crawling under the weight of their crippling economy, and biting economic sabotage. We were on high gear in our liberation cause.

Who could have imagined that our greatest drawbacks in our struggle in our best year 2022, will be masterminded by people amongst us who call themselves our “comrades.” Last year, our enemy sought again to destabilize our liberation struggle from within, and found individuals planted in the fabric of our liberation movement. A few masterminds recruited the rest. They went out full throttle for your money at the Treasury, our ABC console, our ARFs generals, our County officials, and our structures of Government. Some of the casualties from their attack include division amongst our forces, and the tragic deaths of some of our respected Generals, Commanders, and Foot soldiers. These people did away with almost $150,000 from our Treasury accounts in the USA, Australia, UK, and the EU, contributed by various LGAs. They then viciously attacked our credibility and legitimacy, and spread lies to discourage the people and defund the struggle. Thank God we revived it!

This anti-revolutionary cabal went ahead to assure their LRC partners in July and August that they could bring Ambazonia to the table to seat as “Anglophones” and talk directly with LRC, without a need for a third-party mediator. Emboldened by the assurances and actions of these fire extinguishers, LRC publicly withdrew from the Swiss Led Talks (SLT), while capitalizing on false propaganda to deceive the international community that the war was coming to an end, and there was no need for any third-party mediation. Realizing that their antics were not being bought by the international community that endorsed the SLT, the authors of the joke in Canada are now silent - They are back to square one! We know that Paul Biya’s government was not present in Canada. Your Interim Government understood that Canada was a bridge to nowhere but deception or destruction. We will not end this war by negotiating with civil society operatives of Southern Cameroons origin. We will only negotiate with the authority that is at war with Ambazonia, because they alone have the power to stop this war.

Dear International Community,

Today, we are all smelling the rotten fruits of the Canada charade as we predicted.

Instead of calling for an increase in fire power in the Home Front by our committed and brave ARFs in order to force the enemy to come to the table for a genuine mediated negotiation, the One Cameroon advocates united, meeting secretly in Canada, are calling for a ceasefire.

I have a word for all those ceasefire negotiators in Canada, you either lack understanding of how this works or you are outrightly wicked to Ambazonia. There are two types of ceasefires, unilateral ceasefires and negotiated ceasefires. A Unilateral ceasefire is a ceasefire by one party, it works best where one party is the aggressor as in our case. A negotiated ceasefire occurs when both armies or nations at war agree to call off fighting for a season. This only makes sense when there are two armies or nations that are attacking each other. For example, LRC army attacking Southern Cameroons/Ambazonia and Ambazonia army attacking LRC. But we don’t have an army in Ambazonia that is at war with LRC, we have civilians exercising their self-defense rights. Ambazonia is under annexation by the brutal occupation army from LRC. We are obliged to defend ourselves as long as the aggressors, LRC army, is in our territory. The only ceasefire that makes sense in this one-aggression is a unilateral ceasefire by LRC, not a negotiated ceasefire by both sides.

Such a unilateral ceasefire should involve LRC pulling out their security forces from our territory. How can anyone be negotiating a ceasefire on behalf of civilians who are using everything they can find to defend themselves against a ruthless army of occupation, that is bent on wiping out all of them? If they stop resisting the ruthless occupier what is that called, ceasefire or surrender? I have a few more questions for those self-appointed ceasefire negotiators purportedly representing Ambazonia at the GND II in Canada. If You are in your home and 10 killers armed to the teeth come looking for you, they kill some of your security guards, and children in the compound; You pick up a weapon in your house and start returning fire through the windows and back door; If those murderers outside suggest that you should agree with them on a ceasefire, will you agree and stop defending yourself while they are still inside your compound? Can you and your family sleep confidently believing that you have negotiated a ceasefire with the assassins in your compound? No!

What then is the meaning of this negotiated ceasefire between an army and civilians who are using everything they got to resist the army of occupation? How can the victim agree to a ceasefire with his assailants who are looking for him to kill him? Let me repeat, There is no war in Ambazonia, LRC is simply butchering innocent Ambazonians. If LRC stops butchery, and withdraws from our territory, Ambazonians will have no reason to defend ourselves against a nonexistent enemy.

Dear Country men and women,

The measure of our success as the IG in prosecution of this Liberation is our ability to stop the enemy’s manipulative agenda on every front. They saw the invitation of their dictator to the U.S.- Africa Summit a couple of weeks ago, as a diplomatic breakthrough and a platform for them to manipulate U.S. opinion on our cause. Unfortunately, that visit turned out to be a poisoned chalice to the blood-thirsty nonagenarian. My address to the organizers contributed more to the debate than the zombie movie we saw. The worst memory ever was Biya’s appearance as a dead-man-walking in Washington. The world now realizes that any world leader who has been talking to a certain President Biya on phone, and not on video during the past two years has been talking to the comedian called Canto le Phenomene that mimics Biya’s voice perfectly.

As for the real Paul Biya, he is disoriented and completely incapacitated by an advanced stage of dementia. Imagine Biya came to Washington to address the US-Africa Summit of Heads of State, but did not know which meeting it was. He was introduced to speak during the Summit, was welcomed on stage with the customary applause but he could not tell “why he was received like a star on stage”; he did not know who was attending the US-Africa Summit he was called to address; he was not sure if there were important people in that meeting; he was not sure why he was called in person to speak and even wondered aloud to his handlers why he was not substituted. His handler’s response to Biya’s question “are there any important people in the hall,” was more telling!

The handler answered in the affirmative that the important people in the hall were ministers, and did not mention Heads of State. He said so probably assuming that in Biya’s scanty memory, he probably woke up that morning thinking he was still in Mvomeka where the only important people in a meeting would be ministers. That whole episode was pathetic and disgraceful, not to the senile nonagenarian, but to the cruel subordinates and system that maintain such a sick person who has lost his mental capacities as leader of a nation at war. Permit me to ask the dumb leaders of LRC and the colonial puppet master France, will you board a plane with a man that walks, talks and acts like Biya as your Pilot?

Dear African Union,

And International Stakeholders,

Waiting for the dead-man-walking, Paul Biya, to do anything to resolve this major conflict in a key subregion, is an expensive delay, or a tacit endorsement of Biya’s genocidal plan to kill his way to normalcy in Ambazonia. That will be counterproductive, if at all he succeeded, because the millions that LRC will radicalize in the process will return to seek vengeance in diverse ways. There is a power vacuum now in Yaoundé. Biya’s minions are not managing this conflict, the conflict is managing them. Commonsense teaches us that during a fire emergency, if you know you can help, but there is no one to let you in, you may go into the house with a good conscience. Also, where leaders have lost their brains, a benevolent intervention, internal or external, is the reasonable solution. That is called necessary humanitarian intervention.

I hope you all agree now after watching the pathetic drama at the US-Africa Summit that All the orders, decisions and resolutions purportedly emanating from the “high instructions of the Head of State” are shameless lies. Biya’s war hawks and not Biya make the decisions: they decided LRC should walk away from the Swiss Talks in preference for the corridor talks in Canada, they decided LRC did not want to dialogue with Ambazonians. These Biya’s war hawks are taking advantage of an incapacitated president. They decided to bring in the Russians in Cameroon; they decided LRC should double down on the military strategy instead of dialogue. America cannot continue to play Ping-Pong with these lying war mongers surrounding Biya. These are war criminals that think the only way they can retain immunity for their deeds, escape trial and postpone the day of reckoning, is to keep the war going.

The world has to look past Biya, because Biya is past tense; let’s deal with the present, Ambazonia is the present. Please, take the bull by the horn and bring a lasting solution to this existential conflict at the seat of the Gulf of Guinea. America’s best interest in the Gulf of Guinea, is not in LRC. Besides, 30 of the 38 oil wells in Cameroon are in Ambazonia not in LRC. Demographically LRC can say Ambazonia is 20% of LRC, but in terms of resources LRC is only 20% of Ambazonia. The war criminals surrounding Biya are not friends of America, they will never be, they will always lean towards Russia and China for obvious reasons:

1. They are scared of American values.

2. They don’t trust America just as all criminals don’t trust the police. Flirting around with these dirty guys around Biya is a wrong calculation by America.

The fight for Cameroon post-Biya is France’s fight to win not America’s, but the fight for Ambazonia should rightly be America’s fight to win because, Ambazonia is not and has never been under the dominion of the French who even voted against her independence in 1961. Ambazonia has no Union Treaties with France or LRC. Helping or allowing regime rogues in Yaoundé to annihilate the Southern Cameroons/Ambazonia, is betting on the wrong horse; it is risking too much in the wrong basket – the French broken basket. And wining this war will surely take a long time and cost a fortune.

A Prolonged civil war will bring more devastation to both sides, and will permanently install a culture of violence, breed more poverty and hopelessness across the board; and that area can become the next recruiting ground for cross border terrorism. America, please in this new dispensation of the world post-Russia/Ukraine war, you have to choose your friends carefully, and help friends like Ambazonia first, before saving the friends of your neighbor if at all.

I hear the junk press in LRC is touting a diplomatic victory for Cameroon just for attending the U.S. - Africa Summit 2022. What a media spin! So, what is their diplomatic success in concrete terms? The AGOA sanctions are still in force, the Trump-era military aid cancellation is still in effect. The so-called reconstruction of Ambazonia during this war time by the colonial regime has not been endorsed by the U.S. The U.S. Senate and House of Representatives’ resolution 684 on our case is still relevant. There are no other viable peaceful options to resolving this conflict except through a mediated dialogue by both sides without preconditions. Instead, my fellow compatriots, I am confident that our chances of genuine mediated dialogue are higher this year than ever before.

Dear Compatriots,

Our Diehard Supporters,

The IG succeeded to steady this revolutionary ship in 2022 despite the many hurdles along the way. I assure you that any time we forestall the diabolic plans of the enemy LRC and make our territory hot for their genocidal thugs and colonial officers to settle in, we are succeeding in gaining mileage towards our liberation destination. Our victory in this war is primarily to deny our enemies, both internal and external, the victory they hope for until we have our way. Any time we puncture an offensive, diplomatic or otherwise, masterminded by the enemies, on the international stage or at home, we are advancing our liberation quest and furthering our goal towards recognition as the 55th Nation of Africa and the 196th nation of the world.

Dear Warriors,

The indictment of some of our brave comrades of Ngoketunjia origin by the U.S. Courts as a result of frivolous charges brought against them by some of our detractors sponsored by the enemy, is just one of those seemingly regrettable events that has opened up another frontier for the world to understand our cause and plight in the controlled setting of a courtroom. We will maximize this opportunity to expose the atrocious crimes of LRC’s genocidal regime to the world, and touch the consciences of the civilized world and people of good will to rather turn their indignation against the blood-thirsty monsters in LRC who are slaughtering our people daily with impunity.

The case brought against our comrades is a case against Ambazonia because, at the center of this case is the question of who has the legitimate authority in Ambazonia: is it the Ambazonian constituted authority or LRC colonial authority? And who is the law-giver in Ambazonia, is it the people of Ambazonia or the alien peoples of French Cameroon? Only then are we going to say who has the rightful arresting authority in Ambazonia and who is the kidnapper; who is extorting money from Ambazonians and who is levying Ambazonians in Ngoketunjia legally.

We stand with the families of these great compatriots during this trying time, and are doing everything in our power to make sure they have the best legal representation. I am confident that the two of them still in custody will be released pending trial because the charges brought against them are bailable. Let me use this opportunity to appreciate those who have gone the extra mile in supporting financially for their legal defense. It is also worth emphasizing that the right to self-defense is a universal human right, and these civil charges brought against our compatriots do not reflect a change in U.S. policy or attitude towards our liberation cause. A victory in the courts of the U.S. however, will enhance and strengthen our Restoration Quest and I am positive that victory will be achieved.

Dear Valiant ARFs,

Thank you for your bravery and resilient sacrifices in defending our homeland. You are the finest patriots that any country at war can ever dream of, and generations of Ambazonians will fashion their patriotism and nationalism from your exemplary service to the nation. But for the color of your skin, you are not different from the Ukrainian civilians who have joined the army to defend their country from the Russian invaders. We hail you from the bottom of our hearts.

Fellow Ambazonians,

Concerning the informal meetings which held in Canada by some faceless deal makers, please tell them that while they were conniving and dining in Canada to deceive us, LRC was busy burning our houses in OKU and hunting down our civilians. Is that how ceasefire looks like? Please ARFs, Remember, you are the reason why this is no longer called a crisis but a conflict because you rose up to defend Ambazonia with your bare knuckles. You are the victims in this conflict not LRC. Ceasefire, to the victim of aggression, is tantamount to surrender. We cannot surrender before our killers in the name of a ceasefire. Those advocating for bilateral ceasefire want peace at our expense. We cannot allow them! The idea of a Ceasefire by our community self-defense volunteers is dumb and suicidal.

At this time when the colonial genocidal forces are in your backyards, in your compound, inside your houses and hunting you like game, without cause, with the intention to annihilate all of you, how can any right-thinking Southern Cameroons/Ambazonian deal-maker expect you to drop your arms? I want to tell all our self-defense forces that there is not going to be any talks on a ceasefire by both sides because only LRC, who brought the fire should cease the fire. There will be no negotiated ceasefire, there will be a unilateral ceasefire by LRC. Those sellouts in Canada should have known that there cannot be peace talks before negotiations. You win the peace only after ending the war. It will take a negotiated settlement to end the war, followed by peace talks to win the peace thereafter. Those who want to talk peace now in the midst of flying bullets, without a negotiated settlement have assumed like LRC that the war has ended - they are either delusional or bought over.

Our Heroes,

I have asked you all who have remained loyal to the command structure laid down by your Interim Government, from the LGAs to Counties and further to the Federal Command structure, to remain vigilant of infiltrators amongst your ranks. And please for the record, this is the Interim Government of Ambazonia, stop calling it the Interim Government of Dr. Sako as if there is another. A Government is not a club of friends. It is an organized system of power from the people with responsibility to the people, it cannot be the creation of every disgruntled group of individuals with personal agendas. It is the highest authority in the land and no country can have more than one government, unless we are no longer the Federal Republic of Ambazonia. I can assure you that those who want to divide you are no longer interested in the independence of Ambazonia. They are working for the enemy.

As soldiers, you must focus on your mission of fighting to liberate our homeland. You don’t belong to an individual, you are under the authority of the Southern Cameroons/Ambazonian government that we call the IG. The international community has reminded Biya that when we met in Fumban it was the government delegation of Foncha vs the government delegation of Ahidjo. This time around it shall again be government vs government, nation vs nation.

Anything other than that means we have agreed to take a special status in replacement of the equal status enshrined in the archives of the UN. As your Interim Government, our responsibility is to make sure that we provide the financial support for you to continue to defend our vulnerable people and our territorial integrity. We will not fund any loose group of fighters that is engaging in anti-revolutionary activities, giving the enemy an unfair advantage, or one that has been compromised and has stopped attacking LRC positions. These anti-revolutionary activities discourage patriotic Ambazonian donors, who may be willing to do more if assured of our commitment to continue fighting the enemy under our laid down rules of engagement. Any funds directed towards self-defense will be to accomplish a project set out in our National Security Strategic Plan. Only when we meet those objectives at any given time, can we justify our expenses. We will not just dole out funds to our friends, without any specific self-defense objective and how it intends to be accomplished. Henceforth we will fund you project by project.

This year we want to activate all three tiers in the self-defense strategy – the LGAs, the County and the Federal government. The Federal Government shall coordinate operations. Our focus in 2023 however should be surgical economic sabotage across the board – we must destroy all vestiges of LRC war economy in Ambazonia.

Comrades-in-arms, as your CIC, I want to reiterate the importance of shunning division and sticking to the mission we all set out together to achieve, when we pledged to fight this genocidal monster in our territory. Your battlefield engagement is more important than any diplomacy out here. Actually, it is the driver of diplomacy, not the other way around. I appeal to you to continue to defend homeland and ignore any calls from sellouts and their paymasters to drop your arms and get killed.

Let’s thank God for all those of you who refused to entertain the caprices of our haters, refused to give up on the fight or turn your backs on me, despite every weapon they used: provocations, wickedness, hatred, insults, betrayals and lies. They tried hard to strike the shepherd so the sheep may scatter, but you were smarter than them!

Comrades in the Struggle,

Whether you are free or bound, whether you are ARF or refugee, consider these parables as we enter this New Year 2023:

Certain monkeys rejoiced when some individuals were cutting off the hands of the man who used to chase them away from a nearby garden. The following year the monkeys found out that there was no farm for them to eat from because the farmer had no hands to farm. Don’t fight every person that your friends advise you to fight against in this struggle, unless you won’t mind if we fail in our endeavor.

Similarly, a neighbor asked his friend to cut off the tree branches to avoid leaves dropping in his compound, but when the harvest season came he was asking why there weren’t enough fruits to share with everybody. If you always think about Ambazonia first, there are some fights you will not engage in, even if you were right to do so.

Dear International Community,

The world changed on February 14th 2022 when Russia invaded Ukraine. A new cold war was born in the world and on the continent of Africa. It should be recalled that the first cold war denied Ambazonia its total independence as a sovereign nation because, they thought a poor Southern Cameroons will fall in the hands of the communists. They gave us the option of “Independence by Joining” for fear that we were poor, and could not stand alone.

Today, an Independent Ambazonia will be the 2nd or third richest country in Africa, per capita. We will not be a burden to anyone. So, what is the fear today for Britain or America? If now the fear is that a poor Cameroon without Ambazonia will fall in the hands of Russia, that is not supposed to be Britain’s or America’s fight: let the French fight their fight as they are doing in CAR, Burkina Faso, Mali, etc. The world needs a secured, stable and prosperous Ambazonia as a friend, instead of LRC with war criminals at the helm who, are now in alliance with Russia. These are crazy opportunists who cannot wait for Biya to disappear so they can use unconstitutional means to grab power, with the help of Russian security contractors.

My advice is that America should recognize Ambazonia’s right to self-determination, partner with Ambazonia and secure the most important areas of foreign investments – the Gulf of Guinea. At a minimum the world should intervene this year on a peace keeping operation to help protect Ambazonians from the claws of this genocidal war. When LRC is denied the victory they are stubbornly hoping for, they will be forced to abandon their claims of entitlement over Ambazonia, and see the need to genuinely dialogue with Ambazonia as equals, for a win-win outcome. 2023 will be another year to continue our push for a mediated negotiated settlement as the only panacea for a peaceful resolution. We will labor more on seeking recognition in the community of states on the international stage.

The genocidal war declared on us by dictator Biya in 2017 is now more than 5 years old. Our people in their numbers were forced to defend themselves in an unprecedented show of courage with basically nothing but rudimentary means. Today, we have stood the test of time. Heroes and heroines have been born and our ARFs have relentlessly resisted the enemy in all the nooks and crannies of Ambazonia. Throughout this 61-year-old liberation struggle, we have been betrayed by our own, sold out by some, undermined by others, and discouraged by the chicken-hearted, but we have not stopped moving towards our liberation destiny.

This war was supported and sustained by you, our people, especially those in the Home Front. You respect our traditional ghost towns, put up with lockdowns when we called for them. Many have ended up as IDPs in our land and refugees in foreign lands as your homes were razed by enemy forces. The painful loss of loved ones is a daily occurrence as the massacre of our people continues. We are not insensitive to these pains, and let me assure you that there is hope on the horizon. We will cross the finish line of this liberation marathon and at that point, only the few who endure will finish the race. So, let’s not be discouraged by those who give up along the way.

Remain the quality determined few that you have proven to be, let’s stay the course and liberate our homeland for posterity. See you again on Thursday the 12th of January 2023, as we launch two of our official websites servicing the Interim Government of Ambazonia: The government site and a new Treasury platform called AID (Ambazonia Independence Dues) to relaunch our citizenship commitments and fund our diplomatic strategies aggressively. Welcome to our Year of Acceleration!

I wish you a blessed and fruitful New Year 2023.

Viva our Ambazonia Restoration Forces,

Viva the Federal Republic of Ambazonia,

God Bless You all.
