ALBERTO RESPONDS TO THE SOUTHERN CAMEROONS - AMBAZONIA SSUE.

I was born and bred in Mamfe. My parents were born as British Southern Cameroonians and l was born as a Southern Cameroonian. That is my Nationality.

1 We as Mamfe Citizens of SC, used to have the Besong Abang Airport and the Mamfe River Port at the Cross River.

We were born in Mamfe having the entire Mamfe paved with John Holt Super Market and UAC stores.

We had Powercam Electric poles painted Marron colour or deep red.

We had Cameroon Bank, Press Book and the skies of Mamfe used to be busy with aircrafts taking off and landing.

Flights from Nigeria used to come via the green hills of Eshopi, where we used to call overside water, then descending over Mamfe towards Besong Abang.

That Airport used to double as the British Airforce Base and Domestic Airport.

The British had also constructed a military barracks there.

We used to have connecting flights to Enugu and Lagos at Besong Abang.

When Nnamdi Azikiwe visited Mamfe , he landed at the Besong Abang Airport.

In 1967, when Nnamdi Azikiwe was fleeing from the NIgerian civil war, he used Besong Abang Airport to connect a flight to London.

Who destroyed that Airport?.

Today it is a forest and the BA airport no longer exist

Which country destroy it's airport?

Jealousy of LRC.

Mamfe Post office was the biggest post office in the entire Cameroons in terms of revenue generation.

Facts not Fiction.

The Biafran Republic Postal Service was using the Mamfe Post office to post and receive all mails from and to the Biafran Republic via the Mamfe Post office.

Every Tuesdays and Thursdays the Biafran Republic Land Rover will come to Mamfe Post office to post and receive mails .

Which means that, the Mamfe - Enugu Road was paved. Yes. It was.

We used to go on holidays with my father to Eyumojork and stay at the Government Rest House.

Yes the Mamfe - Enugu road was paved in 1952.

Mamfe United used to play matches against teams from Ikom, Abakiliki and Calabar Customs.

A new post office was built in Mamfe within one year, which Ahidjo was invited to Commission.

We were there present when Ahidjo visited Mamfe.

Ahidjo ordered the scrapping of the tar in Mamfe town, and also the tar on Mamfe -Ekok road promising to resurfaced the road.

By 1979 -80s the Kumba - Mamfe Road was already becoming a nightmare.

When l came to Kumba, we met street lights, public taps and well paved roads like in Mamfe .....

Our journey from Mamfe to Kumt took us just 1h30 minutes.

By 1977, we started seeing bulldozers scrapping the tar on Kumba road and environs.

There was an operation remove every tar on kumba roads.

We used to go to Marketing Board Yard at 3 corners Fiango to practice" back air " or flipping on the cocoa beans.

Marketing Board zone used to a beehive of activities and a major employer of Labour in Kumba. Marketing Board workers were the real men in town

We were told that Marketing Board was shut down on the orders of Amba.

All the Southern Cameroon State Entreprises and Institutions established by Acts of Parliament, were shut down by LRC Presidential Decrees.

When we get to Mundemba in 1976, Ndian had 3 Airstrips.

Lobe, Ndian and Iwassa.

The noises of aircrafts over the skies of Mundemba, used to be an exciting marathon for all us, as we used to rush to aeroplane field.

LRC promised to expand the Airstrip, and the LRC military came with bulldozers and scrap the place.

I have never seen any airport to be constructed in without a design displayed at the site and surveyors markings.

When l asked , an MP said l was against Development of Ndian and asked if l had seen an airport before.

In 1956, the Ndian Airstrip was ranked at same level with the Yola Airstrip NIgeria. Facts not Fiction.

In 1956, the Ndian river port was also ranked at same level with Onitsha River port and Koko River port in NIgeria.

It was classified as an International River Port.

Today where are the Ndian Ports?

Destroyed probably by Amba

A simple Kumba - Ndian road is taking LRC 6 decades to construct and they keep throwing dusts into our eyes.

In 1950, Mamfe was bigger than Abakiliki.

Kumba was bigger than Uyo , NIgeria...

By 1954, Buea was a regional capital of same Political status as Enugu, Kaduna, Ibadan and Lagos within the NIgerian federation.

Today ,can Buea be compared to Enugu or Ibadan or any State Capital in NIgeria?

In 1960, Bamenda was more developed than Yola, NIgeria.

Bamenda was called Small London.

Yola was also part of British Cameroons and the German Kamerun Territories seized by the British.

Today , can Bamenda be compared to Yola?

When we want to recollect the destruction of our state. We are told to blame Amba for no Development in SC and celebrate LRC for our destruction.

No people or state or Community will ever developed if the indigenous people don't control their own resources and governed themselves.

SC was able to develop between 1954 and 1972 because they were governing themselves.

Colonial masters don't develop colonies.

Freedom is enjoyed by All but fought by a Few.

Not everyone is supposed to fight for freedom.

Some need, and have to go to Hell for others to go to Heaven.

Southern Cameroon shall be free .
