EXPOSING THE AXIS OF TREACHERY, DENUNCIATION OF THE IRREGULAR RC IMPEACHMENT, THE WAY FORWARD

(A Message to Ambazonians from Deacon TASSANG WILFRED)

Justice and judgment are the habitation of thy throne; mercy and faith shall go before thy face. Psalm 89:14.

Dear Ambazonians, it is unfortunate that our egos and ambitions have brought us to this pass; I am not surprised though because such things were to be expected. The irony lies in the fact that the Restoration Council that has so blatantly violated the Interim Constitution of Ambazonia is complaining and "impeaching" the president for allegedly doing the same and for financial irregularities that according to the impeachment document, are still under investigations. I have not come here to defend President Sako; he should have and I trust he does have the facts and the means to defend himself, without it bringing the Struggle to a standstill as the enemy and those working for him, want. My reservations on the supposed impeachment are profound and are based on the following:

1. That the present "impeachment is consistent with Elvis Kometa's avowed mission to evict Dr Samuel Ikome SAKO from power, which charge Kometa started executing in 2018 as this paper has painfully detailed.

2. That the RC has indicted and found the president guilty of financial irregularities, has impeached him but has spared Chris Anu who has sworn as testified by the impeachment document, that he brokered the deal with LRC and the CDC. According to the impeachment document, the RC has problems with the president because he allegedly did not involve the RC and his Vice President. Would it have been right if the president had involved his Vice in what is supposed to be an act of treachery and treason?

3. Was the President invited to testify? Did he appear? If he did not, why not?

4. Why did the Restoration Council not act swiftly when Chris Anu suggested treason, demanding that the IG, where 90% of active Ambazonians in the Struggle have gathered, be dissolved in favour of compromised individuals in prison? The RC by this is biased and unreliable.

5. The Restoration Council by its conduct, procedural lapses, vouching for opponents of the President as expressed in Hon. Bruno's and Hon. Agnes's audios, in which they assured Chris Anu that the Council was working to defend his interest (dissolve the IG), and called on Ambazonians to clamour for the President's impeachment.

6. Lastly, the impeachment process, hearings, void of investigations, was clearly rushed to meet a deadline and to avoid the ASSC; evidence is found in the impeachment document where it states clearly that investigations are still ongoing regarding financial irregularities.

Dear Ambazonians,

It does not suffice to acknowledge the existence of a problem, it is wiser to get to the root of the matter for the solution thereof to be long lasting. Therefore, justice cannot be established on falsehood. Rather, it must be predicated on the truth. The Ambazanian Quest is predicated on the truth; that injustice was done to us in 1961; that we were forced into an unworkable union against provisions of UN Charter and other international instruments, and most importantly, against the wish of our forebears, against our wish. It therefore does not augur well for us that in our desire to restore justice, we engage in falsehoods, treachery and treasonous activities; when we do these, we build a foundation on which evil and wickedness will thrive in the naissant state.

Great has been my shock to live the problem rocking the Interim Government. From prison, I am as close to it as you all are, except that I cannot communicate freely. Before, I thought it was due to lack of communication but when I got closer, and tried to meditate, I discovered it was much deeper. But what is the PROBLEM?

THE PROBLEM

Following the abduction of President AyukTabe and his team on January 5 2018, an Acting President was elected from among his peers in the cabinet to hold the fort and prosecute the Struggle. From the unfolding of events since then, it is abundantly clear (as we shall see below) that some people believed they were better options to SAKO. It was in a bid to cut short SAKO’s tenure that the Restoration Council Chair, Elvis KOMETA induced the Council into error by ambushing the Interim Constitution, IC, announcing a two year term for the President without amending the constitution.

It was assumed by this group, led by Elvis KOMETA and Chris ANU, that President SAKO would fail woefully but things did not turn out that way. Blinded by ambition, Secretary Chris ANU declared on March 3 2021 that the IG had failed to deliver, that they were tired and exhausted, and called on President SAKO to dissolve the government and to bring back AyukTabe’s men. The leaking  of that document foiled the plans of the cabal, causing them to actively engage, to apply themselves to make the IG led by President SAKO to fail. Members of the AXIS of TREACHERY including but not limited to the Vice President, Harisson Abongwa, Chris ANU, John EGYAWAN, set to work, each in their sphere of influence and sometimes spreading tentacles, to cause this to happen. BUT Ambazonia knows that at the time Chris ANU declared that the IG had failed, Ground Zero was boiling like a volcano and LRC terrorist soldiers were being wiped out in droves across the territory. Since then, Chris ANU left communication to become an arms contractor in defense; he, VP Abongwa, Egyawan and others are accused of collecting huge amounts of money to deliver arms, and conveniently,  handed over their loots to “Scammers”. They tried killing the 2021 war draft, to replace it with a humaniterain initiative, UNMASK, and consequently ruin self defense. These, I detailed out in a memo to the Restoration Council, which Memo, Chairman Kometa has refused to examine because his priority is the eviction of President Sako. When these did not work, Chris ANU waged war against the goose that lays the golden egg, the Under Secretary for the Treasury, Irene NGWA, accusing her of everything including spreading of tentacles and leg spreading when she DARED ask for accountability. Nothing could be more despicable. To show how determined the axis was, and how much Chris ANU thought of himself, he withdrew from the cabinet promising to return only after Ambazonia’s fundraiser had been sacked. That Chris ANU engaged this action during the WAR DRAFT should tell everyone how desperate the cabal, the axis of the treacherous is to kill self-defence and consequently, the Struggle.

THE GENESIS

Having stated the problem, it is proper that we get to the root.

Failing to speak up when doing so would help avert danger is to be an accomplice, a party to crime, treachery and possible acts of treason, the code on Ground Zero being; “Hear something, say something." To hear that enemy troops are heading to Bafut and not to alert our people is to be an accomplice to the deaths that may occur. To have knowledge of acts of treachery and observe silence is to be part of the act, irrespective of whoever was being covered up for.

THE ROOT

As already stated, Chairman Elvis Kometa is the very foundation of the present crisis; he began resisting the Acting President immediately after his election, reasons which can presently be directly connected to Chris Anu. According to my investigations, a couple of months after, the Chairman of the Restoration Council convened and chaired two meetings, the agenda of which were purportedly, to replace the Acting President. To the first meeting, he invited Mola Njoh Litumbe, Pa Augustine Ndangam and Carlson Anyangwe whose flight Kometa paid from South Africa. That meeting and agenda collapsed after both Mola Njoh and Pa Ndangam staged a walkout. Mola Njoh Litumbe was not happy that Acting President Sako was not invited to a meeting to discuss his fate. Mola Njoh Litumbe was consequently not invited to the second meeting. Pa Ngangam who was invited refused to attend because again, Acting President SAKO was not invited.

ALLEGIANCE INSTEAD OF SYMPATHY

While it is normal to have a weakness and sympathy for the abducted and incarcerated Ambazonian leaders, it is revolutionary suicide to owe allegiance to leaders, to people who want to lead from the dungeon of the enemy.

It is the more suicidal seeing that even to this point, the 2018 January 5 abduction is yet shrouded with ghostly shadows and the act of treason committed by President AyukTabe from prison. As a long standing member and leader of the SCNC, Elvis Kometa should know better, that he cannot have the benefit of doubt on grounds of political naivety. Chairman  Kometa might have exercised his democratic right in opposing the impeachment of AyukTabe, but, his refusal to read or announce the verdict was an act of betrayal of the institution which he leads. By this one act, Elvis Kometa showed that he was going to be a dictator, imposing his will on the house and a problem to the Struggle. The Restoration Council should at the least, have deposed him as its leader at this point.

CONSTITUTIONAL AMBUSHMENT

The 2019 swearing in ceremony of President SAKO and his vice provided another opportunity for Elvis Kometa to set the stage for the removal of the president. My investigations have proven that the idea of a two year term of office emanated from the RC Chair. Again, he induced the house into error by causing them to assault the Interim Constitution without an amendment, announcing a two year term limitation after the president had been sworn in.

Feeling that his coup would not succeed, Chairman Kometa toured the US in 2020, campaigning with some elders and key personalities to support his election project at the end of his unconstitutional two years mandate limitation.  His silence on Chris Anu’s March 2021 call for IG dissolution was not only complacent, it was an active support for a call to ruin the struggle. This is not the only instance that the RC Chair and the RC should have spoken up but he observed a vicious benevolent silence.

This is not the only instance that the RC Chair and the RC should have spoken up but he observed a vicious benevolent silence.

AGOV-C-IPOB ALLIANCE

Where Kometa could not speak as RC Chair, he could at least speak as SCNC North America Chair. On two occasions, Kometa observed treacherous silence. It was expected that all voices would rise up in condemnation of Ayaba’s Agov-C alliance with Nnamdi Kanu’s IPOB, which alliance is not only strategically foolish, it brought untold hardship against our people in Nigeria, putting many lives in danger and cutting off many strategic routes.

CDN TORONTO RETREAT

Kometa’s silence and the SCNC's participation at the CDN TORONTO retreat, which retreat the interim Government opposed with all vehemence, put Elvis Kometa’s, SCNC leadership of the Restoration Council to question. Why? The agenda of the Toronto retreat was well known ahead of time as well as the participants. How can the chairman of the Restoration Council be comfortable with his movement taking part in a retreat to draw up negotiation strategies with people who are well known to be opposed to the Ambozonian Statehood QUEST such as Felix Agbor Balla, Esther Onam etc? How could the RC and SCNC North America Chair have kept quiet after Yaa Maggie Kilo’s communication in which she stated that the retreat was seeking a WIN-WIN outcome between la Republique du Cameroun and Ambazonia? I put it to Ambazonia that both the participation of the SCNC and Kometa’s silence on this retreat were acts of treason, both aligning  with his present decision to collapse the struggle through the disintegration of the Intern  Government.

MEETING WITH HOSTILE MOVEMENTS

Kometa’s convening and chairing of a conference with IG Hostile movements in the midst of the crisis can be likened to his participation at the APNC in 2019. We all know the position of John Mbah Akuro’s Consortium towards the IG, Ayaba Cho's new IPOA-AGov-C’s position and AyukTabe’s IG-Care’s position vis a vis the Intern Government led by President Sako, as well as towards International Mediation and the Swiss led process. We know that these individuals and their movements have consistently turned down all overtures towards them made by President Sako. To convene and to hold a conference with these is not only treacherous, it is wayward. It speaks volumes that these individuals responded positively to Kometa's invitation at the time that Elvis Kometa is actively working to unseat their rival from power. The message is clear. There are initiatives Elvis Kometa can take, but he does not have the substantive legal and otherwise standing to meet with leaders of movements because he is not a national leader. In what capacity did he therefore convene and Chair this meeting? As RC chair, he does not have that mandate; only the President of the FRA can do that or or by delegation. That meeting we know, was not convened to bring about unity or collaboraton as chairman Kometa claimed. Did he need Tibor Nagy to call for unity for him to wake up from slumber? Once more, Pa Augustine Ndangam steered clear of Elvis Kometa's treacherous intrigues. How can somebody who is actively involved in disintegrating his own platform go out to work for unity with others? But for Pa Augustine Ndangam’s objection, the real agenda of that meeting would have been unveiled, i.e, the overthrow of president Sako and the dissolution of the IG; that is what AyukTabe’s IG-Care wants; that is what John Mbah Akuroh wants; that is what Ayaba’s now IPOA has all along demanded.

CUFFING THE PRESIDENT

In the midst of the most wicked crisis within the executive arm Interim Government, at a time the President needed support from the Restoration Council to deal with enables and perceived traitors within His cabinet, Kometa and the Governmental Affairs Committee of the RC decided to handcuff him as it were, demanding that the president should not reshuffle his cabinet until after elections which he plans to illegally impose on the struggle against the provisions of the Intern Consitution at an undetermined time. Chairman Kometa and members of the Governmental Affairs Committee of the RC know fully well that in the meantime, the agents within the cabinet would have done more damage to the struggle. Is this not the plan? Once more, Chairman Kometa in openly involved in treasonous activities, brazenly and boldly violating the Interim Constitution, putting his will above the collective will of Ambazonians. This must not be allowed.

DODGING AND AVOIDING DIALOGUE

One would have thought that the Restoration Council Chair would have, out of good will, offered to mediate in the crisis within the cabinet even without being petitioned. No. There was, and there is no good will on his part. Rather, we have seen him wait in ambush, aiding and abetting traitors; openly pledging support for the sacked Communication Secretary. In was in a bid to mend fences that I reached out to the heads of all the arms of government, offering my humble services in a way to mediate and bring the stalemate to an end. Chairman Kometa who initially and warmly welcomed the idea, withdrew at the last minute, claiming that the RC did not want him to attend the meeting, then, that he won’t attend a meeting with Fru John Nsoh; claiming security concerns from my end. How can a man who claims he would do anything to move the struggle forward refuse to dialogue with those he has differences with? How could the Restoration Council stop its leaders from attending a meeting to sort out differences with other arms of government and build cohesion? This is governmental witchcraft. The conference call did take place with the President, accompanied by the then Director of Cabinet, the Chair and vice of the Ethics Commission and the Judiciary Council Chair in addition to the President of the FRA. Whereas I was under the impression that our leaders did not talk to each other, the President explained that he consults with the RC Chair regularly, revealing that Chairman Kometa has the habit of giving his word and going back on it. The appointment of the IG spokesman par interim was a case in point. According to the president, he not only consulted with the RC Chair, he received his blessings. However, Chairman Kometa later lied that he was not consulted, only to accept under pressure in the Ngoketunjia County meeting that he was in fact consulted. Trust a man like Kometa at your on risk.

ON MONEY

Dear Ambazonians,

You all know how money is a thorny issue in this revolution. It is in the knowledge of this that I decided not to demand or accept particular financial attention from the Sako led Interim Government. I have two of my fellow inmates in prison here who can testify to this. Comrades Eric Ateh, the then Director of Cabinet, Barrister Mbehesa can testify to this because I specifically discouraged them from helping me even on a personal basis after I broke away from my Nera brothers. I let them know that they were not under any obligation to help. They might have perceived it as arrogance on my part, but I needed my independence and to give the IG "unstringed" support, with a clear conscience. That said, we have to be careful with the people's money. It is a curse on all who embezzle it.

I want to, at this juncture, call your attention to the post I made in the Summer of 2017 in which God warned us against a leader who would "sell the Struggle with the intention of using the proceeds to prosecute the same Struggle." This prophecy I believe, has been fulfilled several times. I also firmly believe that the Nera Hotel meeting was the fulfillment of God's warning. This is the reason why the guns are increasingly getting silent on Ground Zero; a lot of demonic blood money has reached our men in the trenches. We should be careful. Once again, I have spoken the mind of God on this matter. That Elvis Kometa is seen wining, dining, conferencing with individuals opposed to the IG without preamble and without permission from the the President should put us all on the edge. As it stands, I have no reason to doubt the stories according to which the Restoration Council Chair met with LRC authorities in Kotouno in 2020.

A FOUNDATION ON SAND

As stated by the Interim Constitution, the Restoration Council is Ambozonia’s quasi legislature, with powers to enact laws. The same Interim Consitution was voted by the RC and signed by Chairman Kometa. How can the same council turn around to violate it at the first opportunity as we see in La Republique du Cameroun, disregarding all procedures for its amendment? How can law makers break the law, violate their own house procedures with impunity and stand by it? Is this the foundation we are laying  for Ambazonia? How can the Restoration Council maintain at its head a man who has consistently shown that he will stop at nothing to ruin the struggle and its leader? The recorded phone call in which chairman Kometa derides the president, tried to wreck his home and the home of the Under Secretary of the Treasury should have earned him an impeachment. That audio I first received in 2019 from John Mbah Akoru when the latter was trying to get me to turn my back on President Sako. Law makers cannot be home wreckers. The family, the Ambazonian family should be protected and those who use their office to disrupt other's families cannot be trusted with leadership, not now, not tomorrow.

RECOMMENDATIONS AND CONCLUSION

Dear Ambazonians,

I am not out to vindicate President Sako; he will clear his name and should be given the chance to do that. This opportunity should be given to everyone that has been accused of one crime or the other. However, considering the LGAs had officially withdrawn their representatives to the RC in order to preempt this act of treachery, the so call impeachment is consequently of nil effect. This however does not negate the proposals that are here below tendered.

Precedence has been laid wherein established institutions have been bypassed by the Restoration Council in the Chris Anu matter before the Ethics Commission. Considering also the fact that the RC is now effectively none existent, and that Chairman Elvis Kometa and some members of the RC have demonstrated beyond reasonable doubt that they have personal interests in getting President Sako out of power, the illegality of their desires notwithstanding, it makes sense that the matters at hand be referred to a higher body, the people, the ASSC scheduled to hold in March 2022. In prelude to this sovereign gathering of the people, I suggest that an adhoc committee comprising members of the Ethics Commission (President and Vice), the Judicial Council whose duty it is to interpret laws (president, vice and two others), as well as representatives of the cabinet (the Vice president and another). I have no reason against having the Chair, Vice and Secretary General of the defunct RC from being members of the Adhoc Committee. The Adhoc Committee I suggest, should be chaired by the free sage, Chairman Augustine Ndangam whose neutrality we all should be able to vouch for. The Ndangam adhoc committee should receive and process all the petitions including mine, receive, process, examine and verify all evidences including receipts (which according to the law must be originals, both hardcopies and electronic. The Ndangam Committee should be given full authority by the President of the FRA to delve into any matter it finds necessary, including but not limited to the conduct or misconduct of Mr. Elvis Kometa during his tenure as RC Chair. The findings of this committee should be presented to a full session of the ASSC scheduled for March 2022, if the Committee is able to complete its job before the Ambazonian people gathered in sovereignty or to a town hall meeting failing this event. In the meantime, I demand on behalf of Ambazonia, that all parties involved in this matter should keep their calm, that all should avail themselves to this way forward and put their egos and ambitions on hold for the interest of the people, our suffering people.

You might not hear from me for a while,  but keep this communication and all my previous communications close to your hearts. At the first opportunity, I will reach out to you my people, when the need arises.
