EKONA WOMEN PARALYZED BUEA IN PROTEST OF MILITARY EXCESSES

Ekona Youths Arrested For Respecting February 11, 2023, Lockdown, Boycotting Celebrations. It is pure witchcraft now going on in Ambazonia. People are now being kidnapped by the colonial LRC Soldiers for choosing to stay at home and not go out. Frustrated by the poor turnout for the banned February 11, 2023, so-called youths day celebration in Ambazonia, the colonial La Republique du CameroUn military arrested young Ambazonians in Ekona. To make matters worse, the mothers are being prevented from seeing their children let alone giving them food. The mothers of these children and their sympathizers have mobilized and stormed Buea, blocking circulation, that enough is enough. That their children must be released. Is celebration now a matter of force? What have they done to the Camerounaises youths who never took part in the celebration? Is it because Ambazonians are considered a second-class race that must dance to any music even if they don't like it?

Let's watch the women match to Buea from Ekona. Women in Ekona, a small town in Muyuka LGA stormed Buea today February 15, 2023, to protest against what they termed military excesses on the population. The women with peace plants paralyzed circulation in the town of Buea, chanting freedom songs. In their numbers, they declared that they won't stop nor leave until their children arbitrarily kidnapped by the colonial LRC Soldiers are freed. Due to the frustration of Ekona youths not showing up for the banned February 11 celebration, the colonial authorities decided to vent their frustration on the youths by arresting them the next day. On Sunday, 12 February 2023, a host of colonial LRC military men stormed Ekona and arrested innocent youths playing football on the field, and arrogated them to Buea. The same operation was carried out by the colonial LRC military on Tuesday, February 14, in the same locality arresting more people.

On Wednesday 15, they again stormed Ekona and arrested some youths in the quarter and killed one innocent young guy who was just from taking a bath, UNDAUNTED gathered. “They arrest our brothers almost every week for no just reason and term them to be Amba fighters,” a local regretted. The mothers of these youths could not hold themselves any longer when the colonial authorities denied them from giving food to their children. This is evident that the colonial LRC administrators want to starve these young energetic and dynamic Ambazonians to death. The colonial authorities in Buea finally yielded to the pressure from the women and all those detained were released.

This is just but a little of what innocent civilians are going through at the hands of the colonial LRC Administrators deployed in Ambazonia. Many Ambazonians are languishing in detention centers without committing any crime. Now that the youths of Ekona have been released, they should be watchful because targeted killing is the next and usual option of the LRC thugs.
