SPEECH BY THE PRESIDENT AT THE 1st INTERIM HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES JOINT SESSION MEETING (9th APRIL 2022)

DATE: 9th April 2022
Ref. No. FRA/0904/22

Dear Honorable Members of the House of Representatives,

Our Heroes in the Home Front watching us on ABC,

Fellow Ambazonians,

Let’s observe another moment of silence in honor of our fallen heroes especially our very own FM Insobu.............

May their Souls Rest in Power.

Something tragic happened yesterday Friday, 9th April 2022: the Cameroun Army/ADF militia which repackaged itself as Unity Warriors in Bui County some months ago, ambushed and killed one of our very Best in Gorilla warfare, FM Insobu of Bui, while on a mission with some of his lieutenants against enemy positions. The same LRC/ADF militia for the past 5 years has killed many: Gen. Ivo, Cmdr. Tiger, Gen. Amigo, Gen. Biar-biar, FM Chacha, Gen. Manotiger, and set up Major Gen. Komando and others, including foot soldiers to be killed.

Yesterday they slaughtered FM Insobu in cold blood without any provocation. He did not die by the sword of the enemy, he died by the sword of his own compromised brothers. This is sad! We even saw them in a video mocking the corps of our hero and celebrating his fall, as if to tell their counterparts in Yaounde “mission has been accomplished.” However, let every Yaounde-hired mercenary, pretending to be for us but targeting our fighters and our structures, know that they will all fail.

This is not new, Comrades; these are corrupt cowards recycling a failed strategy of seeking a paycheck from the slave master, instead of our total freedom through righteous resistance. What a shame! What height of depravity and anti-revolutionary madness! But the spirit of Ambazonia shall prevail against all odds. From the birth of our liberation quest till now, as we grew in character and through our countless words and actions, in our interactions and inter-reactions, in all our sacrifices and trophies, five years down the road, all the leaders of our liberation have sufficiently defined themselves. We are no longer strangers to each other. In the beginning you trusted blindly, giving each of us the benefit of the doubt.

After years in this classroom, you know us today better than you did four or five years ago. We all have our track records and multitude of witnesses on every side - -records of our mistakes and achievements, of our pride in failure or our humility in victory, our weaknesses as we rise and fall, or our willingness to learn and rise. Those who want to take over the leadership of our hope by recasting the character or image of the others, using their social media presence, are wasting their precious capital trying to split hairs, instead of introducing themselves by the efficacy of their own original strategies and actions.

Facts are stubborn, and very often it does not matter what we think or believe, facts stand tall like monuments against every wind of blackmail, lies, falsehood and manipulation. Like it or not the IG, despite the unkind beating, remains the key player and principal in this course full of obstacles. As goes the people so goes the IG, and as goes the IG so goes our struggle! Fear not my dear compatriots, we shall overcome.

  1. am calling on Resource Mobilization to organize an early Draft 2022 in favor of the Bui Warriors as a matter of national emergency. There are moments to be politically correct and there are also moments to be factually correct. So, let me say it clear to all County Leaders, if we do not stamp out these internal threats that we see in one or two counties, we will not make it to Buea in record time. For us to do so, we must understand that whoever is not fighting our enemy is our enemy’s friend, and our enemy’s friend or helper is our enemy. Please, treat ALL your enemies in the warfront equally; fighting against some and uniting with others is a costly error.

Honorable Members of the House,

I want to thank you for stepping up to serve the people of your constituencies at a time like this. Thank you, Madame Speaker, for the honor to have me in your 1st Post Inaugural Session.

Let me also recognize our Stakeholders at this very important session convened by your House leadership. I have the honor to inform you all that pursuant to the ASSC II Resolutions, the Vice President proceeded to forward the Bill A01 to Amend the Constitution to this House for immediate ratification.

I urge the House to immediately table the Bill for ratification in order to set the legal framework for the various laws, relating to the constitutional and organizational reforms that we will be introducing progressively to the House in the days and weeks ahead.

Fellow Ambazonians,

I want to draw your attention to the recurrent news about some of our compatriots who have been trying secretly to negotiate with La Republique du Cameroun. We cannot dismiss all these with the back of the hand, simply because they have failed at every instance. They failed because of your timely reaction to expose such charlatanry. They failed because we all arose to reiterate the position of the Interim Government and the People of Ambazonia towards lasting just peace. So long as there are still people who want to cash in on the blood of our 35,000, so long as we have people who are constantly trying to trade our liberation quest for their personal or family interest, people who want to exchange our pain for their private gain.

  1. long as we still have people who are mobilizing to kill our God-Ordained struggle, slow down our resistance on the Home Front, join forces with our enemies, to force us to a suicidal surrender, using lies, manipulation, and corruption, our silence will no longer be golden. Some of these corrupt interlocutors are colonial stooges who, have lost all legitimacy to represent the people of the Southern Cameroons. Some are known CPDM zealots, others are civil society imposters, so-called Chiefs and Fons, deserters in the diaspora, and refugees sojourning in French Cameroon and bankrolled by the bloody annexationist. Yes, since last year I came to that conclusion in our revolution, that going forward, silence would only be golden when the selfish and the cruel have all resigned from our endeavor.

Let me take you down memory lane. S.T. Muna in 1970 torpedoed the attempts of J.N. Foncha, to bring Ahidjo to the table to renegotiate or review the terms of our failed union with La Republique du Cameroun. He offered himself to French Cameroon as a willing spoiler to help them thwart the efforts of repentant nationalists led by J. N. Foncha. Muna was rewarded with the bogus post of Vice President and Premier of West Cameroon, enough peanuts for him and his family. In the early nineties Ni John Fru Ndi highjacked an initiative by nationalists like Albert Mukong to create a Southern Cameroons Party to fight for our rights. He instead transformed the SDF initiative into a so-called “national” Party instead, which he later traded for a mouthful of peanuts, good enough for him and his family.

The Consortium thereafter arose in 2016 to fight for our rights, making the restoration of the 1961 federation their key demand. Most of the Consortium leaders were arrested and thrown in colonial jails. When Deacon Tassang on exile, decided to transition our demands from Federation to the Restoration of our Independence, the same consortium leaders truncated the move by clinging to La Republique du Cameroun for a one Cameroon solution without precondition. The Consortium leaders worked with the late Cardinal Christian Tumi to promote the All Anglophone General Conference; and now the CDN, aimed at finding a one Cameroon solution, to shipwreck our independence restoration. They were given a so-called special status with nothing special in the status. Fast forward, we now have our own blue and white contractors, rushing nicodemusly to talk with La Republique du Cameroun, ready to enter a negotiated settlement with our annexationists without our knowledge, and help them to kill our struggle for self-determination.

Some already called for a unilateral ceasefire and it did not work because we said no. Others went to meet LRC at the Yaounde Arch-Bishop’s residence and tried to exchange Ambazonia for the prize of their freedom, it did not work because we said no; some also went to meet with Baba Danpulo and Colonel Eko Eko Maxime in West Africa, and other had meetings in the United States and were contracted to bring down Dr. Sako, take over the cockpit of our struggle and change our destination to Yaounde and no longer Buea. They succeeded to instrumentalize the defunct Restoration Council, manipulated a few disgruntled individuals, staged an unsuccessful coup against me. As I speak to you today it is not yet over, because when passion is derailed it becomes deadly and suicidal. These people wanted and still want to kill our struggle by all means possible, but you rose in your indignation to tell them no, enough is enough! You arose in your power, so They are doomed to fail.

That notwithstanding, let this be a new dawn in Ambazonia. We disagree to agree. The weak solve problems by elimination, the brave solve them by confrontation. There are problems you can never avoid. But we cannot avoid disagreements with our fellow colleagues, just as we cannot avoid betrayals, hatred, blackmail, jealousy, anger or foolishness. If we must eliminate these vices in our movement by avoiding such characters entirely, our sphere would be too small, and I am afraid we would achieve the opposite of our expectations.

It will also be a sign of weakness not the strength we know we have. Let’s increase in vigilance but abound in love towards all. All of us are capable of these vices, it is probably the temptations or trials that differ.

I call on all Government Officials from all tiers to keep your doors open because even the worst of Jesus’s disciple, Peter, could still become the chief apostle. Some people followed what they believed was the right thing before they realized it was not so, some people snap under pressure and make the dumbest utterances, but they are not bad people.

Some people were manipulated, they read the constitution upside down, were lied to, shown Ngoa Ekele fabricated evidence of crimes, listened to the sayings of people with a lying spirit, and were blinded by accumulated hate, anger, or ambition. So, they fell and rose again, but thank God they did not fall away.

What should we be doing to these ones? Push them over the cliff? That is food for thought to all departments, arms or organs of this IG. Remember that We fight to kill the enemy, but when it comes to our fellow Ambazonians we should fight to win not to kill.

  1. Our struggle has gotten to the place where the enemy is at his weakest point: with a collapsing social fabric, economic collapse, a largely demoralized military, a leadership vacuum and a fierce succession battle looming, and our enemy is bleeding. But unfortunately, this is when some of our compatriots think they should join the enemy instead and fight the IG, slow down the fire power, even if that means going down on our knees to beg our crippled adversary.

Our valiant population is not spared from this evil enterprise. From Oku, to Mbalangi, and Towe in Buea. Our people are being manipulated to stage CPDM style marches to protest atrocity crimes largely orchestrated by the notorious Bankoui and Atanga Nji vigilantes across Ambazonia.

LRC used the scorch-earth policy, torture and terror, and criminal atrocities to break our spirit so that they can quicky turn our population against the war. Biya’s genocidal regime now thinks their strategy has sufficiently crushed the will of our population, so they send their regime apologists with little money to rally the unsuspecting suffering population to protest against our ARFs, who are defending themselves, instead of the assailants who brought the war to Ambazonia.

We forgive our population for their ignorance but, henceforth that will not be accommodated. All those who engage in such manipulations shall be treated as enablers of genocide and blacklegs.

We are fighting for our livelihood and not a morsel of bread; we are fighting for posterity not for ourselves; we are fighting for our Restored Independence not Freedom. Freedom can mean anything. We are fighting for a Nation of our dream where we will be first class citizens again. A haven of liberties, a cradle of Democracy, Progress and Happiness for all.

Viva the Federal Republic of Ambazonia,

May God bless Ambazonia
