Reports have it that, The people of Southern Cameroons are fast becoming that the imperialist Biya regime has nothing good in stock for then. In fact, nothing good can ever come out of La Republique du Cameroun for the people of Ambazonia. With this in mind, the people of Southern Cameroons have not only lost but are determined to man their affairs. It is a curse for Southern Cameroons to have entered to a union with La Republique du Cameroun. Sons and daughters of Lebialem have come together to see how their development can be tailored. But there's is a problem, The colonial administration may politicise the situation to insinuate normalcy.

The slogan "Lebialem shall never be left behind" was adopted by sons and daughters of Lebialem who converged at Mountain Hotel Conference hall on Saturday 13 August 2022 for a socio-economic conference. Created since 1992, the County with headquarters in Menji was experiencing a limping socio-economic growth, until 2016 when development was derailed by the war colonial ruler Paul Biya declared on the people of Southern Cameroons with evidence in the destruction of private properties, insecurity and violent extremism, leaving the County in a shadow of itself. Sons and daughters of Lebialem were encouraged to hold each other accountable, consider the need to boost the socio-economic condition of their land and not depend on the colonial Yaounde regime

The County is 30 years old this year. "When we look at the statistics in terms of socio-economic development, we are way back. Socio-economic life has degraded beyond the time the County was created. This is unacceptable".

"Secondly, our division continues to be in the news for the bad reasons, we want to put an end to that rhetoric, particularly ourl headquarters which is a total ghost town. We are going to go back to Menji to chase the rodents and make our capital city lively,’’ An elite disclosed

Elites were mandated to, in collaboration with inhabitants, to engage in revamping the county, especailly Menji. Deliberations at the conference led to a series of resolutions to help restore the social cohesion, growth, dignity and cultural identity of the Lebialem people. After this conference, it is expected that the dignity of the people of Lebialem will be united on a common goal of peaceful cohabitation and development. We hope CPDM Elites do not hijack the process.
