ANOTHER PRIEST KILLED IN LRC

This death takes the dead toll of priests or clergy killed under mysterious and suspicious circumstances in LRC to over a dozen, and a second in two months not counting Reverend Sisters, Nuns and Monks since genocider Biya came to power. Fr. Olivier Ntsa Ebode was found dead in Obala, near Yaounde. He was lured out of his house at night by men asking him to come and minister to a sick family member.

According to local press reports, he was murdered in the night between the 28th February and the 1st March, after being lured out of his house by men claiming that a relative of theirs was sick and wanted to see him.

According LRC’s news website 237online Fr Ebode was a “respected figure” in the community, known for his commitment to peace and social justice.

Undaunted underscores without fear or favour that instability has been on the rise in LRC since the onslaught of the Southern Cameroons – Ambazonian war of independence which confrontation between Ambazonian freedom fighters and colonial LRC military has displaced over a million people as refugees and at least close to 50.000 killed in what is being termed as the world’s most neglected conflicts in recent years.
