AT US-AFRICA SUMMIT, BIYA GIVES LAZY EXCUSE FOR POOR DEVELOPMENT

Biya Blame “Development Aid” For Bad Roads, No Electricity & No Clean Waters In His Country

It is said that the shoes always take the blame when the dancer is not performant. The colonial LRC government under the rulership of Paul Biya has failed woefully in all aspects as development is concerned. At the current US-African summit, Paul Biya has shamefully blamed the nature of development aid for the snail pace of development in his country. Why must he depend solely on development aid from elsewhere, with the natural resource endorsement his country is blessed with?

At the US-Africa going on in the United States of America, Paul Biya the ruler of La Republique du CameroUn has used the occasion as an opportunity to justify the poor developmental level in his country. Speaking Wednesday December 14, Biya accuses the strings and protocol around development aid as being the reason why his country is not yet at a reasonable developmental level.

So to Biya, the reason why he is unable to provide roads, portable water and electricity for his citizens is because of development aid protocols.

Here is an except of his speech.

"Africa remains overly dependent on official development assistance which no longer seems to meet our needs.

Generally speaking, the legal framework governing access to funding is extremely constraining, heightening our fiscal and institutional stability risks. As an example

of such constraints, we are sometimes required by investors to mortgage some natural resources.

The financing models and instruments used further contribute to the re-export of capital through loans, without movement of funds to the continent, but with

inevitable foreign exchange outflows during reimbursement."

Just a reminder, Biya has been President of La Republique du CameroUn since 1982. He is now 40 years and counting as President. In this his 40 year Reign, citizens only have feelings of regrets and frustration.
