EX-AMBA FIGHTERS DEMONSTRATE IN BUEA

Former Amba fighters demonstrate in Buea against delusive promises from the colonial Lrc failed regime

Three years after the failed Major National Dialogue which was nothing less than a National monologue, or the ruling Cpdm come together, former Amba fighters have been licking their wounds having realized too late that the colonial Lrc genocidal government in Yaounde had duped them with fallacious promises.

These frustrated misguided young men sent out fresh outbursts of anger at the regional center of the national committee for disarmament, demobilization and reintegration - DDR of Buea branch where they voluntarily went for self imprisonments since three years saying they are tired of waiting for their reintegration into civilian life.

They demonstrated Tuesday, October 4, 2022 in what they term “the slowness of the process of social reintegration” which Yaounde had promised and from which they must benefit.

According to a spokesperson for these misguided miscreants Nguni Célestin Yannick “The problem is not the money, but the length of our stay at the center...”  These DDR inmates want their reintegration into society. “We are tired of staying in this environment for all this time, all these years after the Major National Dialogue. “, explains Nguni Célestin Yannick to Equinoxe Television adding that the budget allocated for the Buea center is FCFA 130 million from which they inmates don’t enjoy anything
This is not the first time that inmates of the Buea and Bamenda DDR centers have made noise. In 2021, they had demonstrated three times in three months because promises made by the failed Yaounde regime were only a bait and too fallacious, we have heard one of the casualties of this trap set by LRC, Nambere lament time and again.
The National Disarmament, Demobilization and Reintegration Committee (CNDDR) was created by decree of the President of the LRC on November 30, 2018 and placed under the authority of the colonial Prime Minister, with headquarters in Yaoundé. Its first Regional Centers were created in Bamenda, Buea and Mora. The Committee's mission is to organize, supervise and manage the disarmament, demobilization and reintegration of ex-combatants of Boko Haram and armed groups in Ambazonia wishing to respond favorably to the fake peace offer of the colonial dictator Paul Biya by laying down their arms. It is headed by a former colonial governor Faï Yengo Francis.
