Fire Consumes Part Of Evidence Building Caused By ENEO Workers In Bamenda

Wonders shall never end people do say. When those who are being looked upon as solution providers turn to be those responsible for the problem people face, then there is need for a call for concern. Workers of ENEO Cameroon, a colonial company responsible for the supply and maintenance of electricity have caused the burning of all wiring and the destruction of 12 meters at the evidence building, City Chemist Roundabout in Bamenda, Chief town of Mezam County. How come that workers of an electricity connection do wrong connection to the point of provoking a short circuit?

What is the criteria for recruitment into this colonial company?

Part of Evidence building at the City Chemist Roundabout was on fire Sunday October 23, 2022 as workers of the colonial ENEO Cameroun company workers were carrying out some connections works. Thanks to the way the building was designed, the whole structure could have been raised to dust by flames. The fire however being manager with unconventional means and the use of the few fire extinguisher available, consumed all the 12 power meters electrifying all the apartments. The decking over each an every apartment prevented the fire from escalating to other compartments of the building.

Since the fire outbreak yesterday, the same workers who provoke the fire at press time have not been able to restore the damaged electrical connections. With the way workers are being recruited into such parastatals and other institutions given the corrupt nature of LRC government, such occurance are bound to happen. Recruitment is Cameroun is the bases of nepotism, family ties and bank account status. Economic operators operating from this building and depending on power supply are as a result of bad work from these unscrupulous colonial ENEO workers are stranded as per the way forward, given that these workers are unable to give a time frame for the repairs.
